How to create a test for your students

You can use the UrbanPro Live platform to set tests for your students. These tests can have simple true or false types of questions or those with multiple choices. Setting tests for your students will let you assess the progress they have made in your class. These tests will also help you keep track of their overall performance.

The tools used to generate tests are simple to use and can help you create a test for students in minutes. All you have to do is to follow the steps mentioned above below.

For the mobile
To create a test using the app follow these steps

1. Launch the UrbanPro for Tutors app

2. Click on Students



3. Click on the student you want to set the test for



4. Click on Content



5. Click on Add Content



6. Click on +ADD NEW



7. Click on Test



8. Click on Create New



9. Enter the name, kind (mock/practice) and duration of the test. If you don’t choose the duration, there will be no time limit on the test.



10. Click on Next to continue



11. At the bottom of the screen, click on Add Question



12. You will see a list of questions that have been created by other tutors. If you want, you can select one of them or click on Add New Question



13. Choose the type of question that this will be (Single Answer, True/False, Multiple Choice, etc.)

14. On the next screen,

• Enter the question
• Select the answer
• Select the Difficulty Level
• Add Tags to associate it with a subject/class
• Choose if you want to share it with the rest of the community (this is not mandatory)
  
  
  

  Click Save to enter the question

  Note: Advanced Setting will let you add a Hint and an explanation for the answer. These options are not mandatory.

  15. Once you have clicked on Save, your question will appear in the test that you just created.

  
  

  16. To add another question click on ADD QUESTION at the bottom of the screen and follow the same steps

  From the website

  To create a test using the website you will need to follow these steps

  1. Log into your account
  
  
  
  2. From the dashboard click on Students
  
  
  
  3. Now select the student you want to create the test for
  
  
  
  4. Click on Content
  
  
  
  5. Click on Add Content
  
  
  
  6. Click on +ADD NEW
  
  
  
  7. Click on Test
  
  
  
  8. Select Create a new test
  
  
  
  
  9. Enter the name, kind (practice/mock) and duration for the test. Once again, if you don’t select a duration, there will be no time limit on the test. Once you have entered the details click on Next
  
  
  
  10. Now click on Add Question
  
  
  
  11. Like the mobile application, you see some related questions. You can either choose from them or create your own question. To add a question click on ADD NEW QUESTION
  
  
  
  12. Select the type of question you want it to be (Single Answer, True/False, Multiple Choice, etc.)
  
  
  
  13. On the next screen,

  • Enter the question
  • Select the answer
  • Select the Difficulty Level
  • Add Tags to associate it with a subject/class
  • Choose if you want to share it with the rest of the community (this is not mandatory)
    
    
    

    Click Save to enter the question

    Note: as before Advanced Setting will let you add hints and explanations to the answers.

    14. Once you click on Save, you will be able to see the new question in the test.
    
    
    15. To add another question, simply click on ADD QUESTION and follow the same steps

    Once the tests are created, the students will be able to see them in the Content tab in their UrbanPro accounts. When they complete the test, you'll be able to see a green checkmark against it indicating that the student has completed this test.
