How can a student join a class if they don't receive an email?

Whenever a class is scheduled by you, the tutor, a unique link to that class is also created by our system. If a student does not have an email or any other way to join the class you can always share this link with them. 

A few things to keep in mind with these links are:

• Each link is unique to the student. So you can’t send the same link to multiple students
• Students can join the class using the link they receive in the sms/email, and through the Invite option in Zoom.  
• Each link is also unique to that particular class so they can’t use an older link to join future classes

Here is how you can share the class link with students through the mobile app and the website

From the mobile app

1. Launch the UrbanPro for Tutors app

2. Click on Students

3. Click on the student whose link you want to share

4. Under the upcoming tab you will see the classes listed

5. Click on Edit for the class that you want to share with the student

6. Click on Copy Invitation

From the website

1. Log into your UrbanPro account

2. Click on Students

3. Click on the student whose link you want to share

4. Under the upcoming tab you will see the classes listed

5. Click on Edit for the class that you want to share with the student

6. Click on View Invitation

7. Click on Copy to copy the link

Once you have copied the invitation link, you can share it with your students via SMS, emails, WhatsApp etc. 

Inviting students when launching the class

If you are about to launch a scheduled class and need to share an invitation link with students, you can do that from the Launch Class screen.

To get the invitation link you need to:

1. Click on Launch Class after logging into your account

2. On the next screen, click on Copy Invite Link

3. Now you can copy the invitation link for each student individually and share it with them via emails or messages.

Note: The links are unique to students and classes so please don’t share the same link with different students for different classes.

Inviting students through Zoom

You can also use the Invite option in Zoom to add students to the class. To do that:

1. Launch the class

2. Take over as the Host by entering the host key

3. Click on the Invite option in Zoom, copy the invite link and share it with students via SMS, emails or Whatsapp.
